Ventura Securities

Equity Research Intern

A three month internship at the Raigarh office of Ventura Securities, under its Authorised Person. I studied the annual reports of mid cap companies and worked through revenue, EBITDA, margins and debt to equity to form my own views, built Excel templates to organise financial and market data, used the ODIN trading platform under supervision, helped the back office reconcile trades and contract notes, and explained portfolio and market movements to retail clients.

  1. Financial statements
  2. Data extraction
  3. Ratio analysis
  4. Excel templates
  5. Interpretation
  6. Communication

“Working around market hours taught me discipline and helped me connect academic financial concepts with real operational decisions. I learned that analysis is only useful when information is structured clearly and communicated in a way people can understand.”

A learning internship, not a licensed investment advisory role.

Roobaroo.ai

Founder's Office Intern

Joined a career and wellbeing platform for students in its zero to one phase. I built the early pipeline of students and ambassadors through LinkedIn, cold outreach and my own network, set up an AI agent to organise LinkedIn data into a tracking sheet I built, ran feasibility interviews with high school students, and turned scattered notes into Excel dashboards the team could use.

A developing perspective

Learning to Think in Probabilities

I began learning about Indian equities in Grade 8 and gradually developed experience tracking financial news, analysing company filings, and thinking about risk and portfolio decisions.

My learning has included exposure to a market mentor, following macroeconomic news and company filings, and taking responsibility for monitoring a family equity portfolio.

01

Risk

Understanding that investment decisions involve uncertainty.

02

Patience

Recognising that short term price movements do not always reflect long term value.

03

Discipline

Evaluating decisions thoughtfully rather than reacting impulsively.

This is a personal learning journey, not investment advice. No family portfolio values, holdings, or returns are shared.
